From 1 July 2026, a major change to superannuation obligations will take effect.

Under the ATO’s proposed “Payday Super” reforms, employers will be required to pay superannuation at the same time as wages, rather than quarterly.

While this may feel some distance away, the businesses that prepare early will transition smoothly. Those that leave it late may find themselves adjusting systems and cash flow under pressure.
